Infrared beam sensor PEM7D is an (IR) light beam announcer for access control of a door or window. Provides an alert when a threshold is crossed. May also be used for "present" detection in automated manufacturing processes. A focused IR light beam is projected from an emitter and bounced off of a reflector placed across a detection area.
A retro-reflective photoelectric sensor built into the emitter detects the passing of a person or object through the beam. A separate speaker announcer (included) may be set to chime or alarm to alert that a security breech has occurred or that an object has entered the monitored area.
Uses of the infrared beam sensors are many, ranging from a door announcer (someone has entered a door), security system sensor, to "presence" detection of objects arriving on a conveyor. With the optional Access Control Counter PEM7D/C, this IR beam sensor may also be used to count people or objects. Many other possible uses. PEM7D is factory assembled and ready to use.
