ApogeeKits ASTMB1 antistatic mats consist of a 2 layer rubber lamination - with a top side static dissipative rubber layer and a bottom side conductive rubber layer. Includes a "common ground point" grounding cord with a 10mm snap connection to ground the mat and two banana jacks for grounding up to two antistatic wrist straps through the same ground cord. (wrist straps available separately) Safely handle static sensitive equipment and devices with these antistatic rubber mats on your bench. Ideal for computer technicians or electronic assembly and repair operators.
Rubber Mat Benefits
Rubber antistatic mats have superior wear characteristics compared to cheaper vinyl mats. Rubber mats lay flat, have a higher resistance to heat from soldering irons, resistance to many common chemicals, and provide superior mechanical shock absorption than vinyl mats which have a tendency to melt, dent, and curl.
