A Common Ground Point for Anti-Static Mats and Wrist Straps
A common problem at anti-static work stations is how and where to connect the anti-static equipment to earth ground. Anti-static table mats typically include a ground cord intended to ground only the mat itself. But operators need a convenient method of grounding their anti-static wrist straps as well. ApogeeKits Common Ground Point ACGP1 provides the means to ground your anti-static table mat, and up to two anti-static wrist straps all with the same ground cord.
A 10mm female snap on the bottom side of the common ground point attaches to a 10mm male snap on the soft anti-static table mat. Two banana plug holes located in the block of the common ground point allows for the easy connection of two wrist strap ground cords. Thus, the mat and operators wrist straps share a common ground. ApogeeKits also has low profile static mat ground cords.
