Heat Shrink Tubing

Heat shrink tubing K/STB (black) and K/STR (red) are variety packs of "heat shrink tubes" used for the electrical insulation of wires and component leads in electronic circuits. Heat shrink tubing can also be used for the identification and encapsulation of wire, for corrosion proofing of metallic rods or tubes, the protection of antennas, or for moisture and corrosion proofing of fiber optic cable and connections.

How to use heat shrink tubing:
1) Select a tube diameter slightly larger than than the diameter of the wire (or connection) and cut the tube a little longer than the desired length to be insulated.
2) Slide the heat shrink tubing over the wire or component lead.
3) Solder the two wires together (or create the required connection).
4) Slide the tube back over the finished connection.
5) Heat the tubing with a heat gun or other by other means to shrink the tubing over the connection. The heated tubing will shrink tightly over the connection, conforming to the connection and sealing it.

These variety packs each contain 6 diameter sizes of heat shrink tubing, with 40 pieces in total. Makes a great and handy assortment for any electronic prototyping or repair shop. Perfect for students, hobbyists, or professionals. Multi-colored heat shrink tubing K/STMC (in black, blue, red, and white) is also available separately.
