Indoor/Outdoor Retro-Reflective Photoelectric Sensor
The factory assembled PEM10D2 Photoelectric Beam Sensor is an IR (infrared) light beam crossing detector. Great for entry detection in shops, homes, offices, warehouses, parking lots, or security systems. With a detection range of up to 32 feet, the PEM10D2 IR beam emitter and reflector is excellent for intrusion alarm applications.
The invisible IR photo beam is broken when a person or object moves between the beam emitter and the beam reflector. This triggers the sensor activating an onboard relay until the beam is restored. The relay has two dry contacts. One contact is normally open (NO) while the other is normally closed (NC). These contacts are accessed with a terminal block on the unit for connection to your security system control panel, or may directly activate a siren, bell, or other devices. A tamper switch contact is also provided. If somebody opens the sensor cover, the tamper switch is released which closes the tamper contact. This can also activate an alarm to alert of tampering with the system.
The PEM10D2 Photoelectric Beam Sensor is factory assembled and tested. Just install and align the sensor.
