Desoldering Braid - For Solder Extraction During Electronic Repairs

Desoldering braid is for the removal of solder from circuit boards during repair operations. Made with tiny braided copper wire strands, you heat the braid while it's pressed between the solder pad and the tip of your hot solder iron. When the solder melts from the heat of the iron, the capillary action of the braided wire will "wick" the molten solder up off of the circuit board and into the braided wire. Desoldering braid works best with a drop of soldering flux. Ideal for repairing electronic kits and devices.
