Desoldering Braid Wire Wick for Solder Removal
Desoldering braid is actually a wick made of copper wire, used to remove solder from circuit boards during repair operations.
Made of tiny braided strands of copper, the braid is heated between a solder pad and the tip of your hot soldering iron. The solder on the circuit pad then melts from the
heat of the soldering iron and the the capillary action of the braided wire "wicks" the molten solder up off of the circuit board and into the braid.
Desoldering braid works best with a drop of soldering flux. Ideal for repairing electronic kits and devices.
