Utility Knife VTK4 Box Cutter
Utility Knife VTK4 commonly used as a box cutter is very rugged yet economical. The heavy duty VTK4 metal knife handle holds
a heavy duty double ended utility blade securely within the safety of the handle. During storage, The blade is safely retracted and contained within the metal handle of the utility knife.
During use, select from three "open" cutting positions.
To use the utility knife, slide the button located on the top of the handle forward to adjust (extract) the blade from the end of
the utility knife handle to any of 3 cutting length positions. Slide the button forward to the 1st "open" position, and the blade will come out of the handle 1/4 of an
inch. Slide the button forward to the 2nd "open" position, and the blade will extract to 5/8 of an inch in length. Slide the button forward to the 3rd
"open" position, and the blade will extract to expose 1 full inch of the blade cutting edge.
Slide the button all the way (aft) toward the rear end of the handle to retract the utility knife blade fully back into the safety
handle for storage.
The blade is also reversible. When the 1st half of the blade becomes too dull, simply open the handle and rotate the
double ended blade to point the un-used (sharp) end of the blade toward the open end of the utility knife, and the used (dull) end of the blade will then be stored inside the handle.
Re-use the blade until it's ready to be replaced.
This VTK4 model utility knife has replaceable refill blades available. Just open the utility knife handle and replace the entire
blade.
