Generate Electrical Energy From Wind Power
Wind Generator is an educational electronic kit from MadLab, which demonstrates how rotational energy can be converted into electrical energy. Moving magnets induce an electrical current in the coil which makes the LED glow.
Plastic propeller NOT included. But you can easily make your own propellers. Print the files linked below.
Note that this kit contains Neodymium magnets which should be kept away from small children as they can be a hazard if swallowed. See these Health and Safety warnings.
A selection of turbine templates for exploring the relationship between efficiency and number of blades.
3 wind blades, 4 wind blades, 5 wind blades. (Cut around the outline down to the innner circle then fold the points in and secure with glue or a paper fastener.)
