Precise Wire Cutter Stripper VT5021 has 5 great features that make this a very handy tool! Primarily, it's a wire stripper that strips electrical insulation from wire diameter sizes of 22 to 10 AWG (American Wire Gauge) (or 0.33mm2 to 5.26mm2). Additionally, the tip of this tool has jaws that serve as pliers, or a clamp for holding or gripping. Inside the jaws above the hinge is a high leverage scissor style copper wire cutting tool. Below the hinge pin, a hole passes through the opposing halves of the tool which can be used as a shear cutter for steel wire diameters of up to 3mm. Finally, the wire stripper jaws have a simple lock feature allowing the tool to be held closed while clamping small items, and as a safety feature while the tool is in storage.
To remove guesswork while wire stripping, the opposing jaws of the wire stripping "holes" on this tool are conveniently marked with wire sizes measured in AWG on one side and millimeters (diameter) on the other side.
